The Many Paths: Claiming My Spiritual Sovereignty

Spiritual sovereignty—it’s a powerful phrase, encapsulating my lifelong quest to directly experience and understand the divine. For me, this journey has never comfortably fit within the structured walls of traditional religion. Raised Catholic, between the ages of 9 and 12, I was already questioning the hypocrisy and rigid dogma that seemed disconnected from the compassionate and inclusive teachings of Jesus. Even as a child, I sensed the presence of something more authentic, something deeply personal waiting beyond institutional boundaries.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Laurel, Md. was my first church from birth to about 12 years old.

Throughout my adult life, attempts to reconnect with organized religion felt increasingly restrictive, especially in recent years. While engaging briefly with various religious groups, I repeatedly encountered suspicion and outright fear of New Age philosophies. This fear seemed ironic—wasn’t Jesus himself radically “New Age” in his time, teaching revolutionary concepts of love, forgiveness, and direct communion with God?

“There are many paths of ascension available… all leading ultimately to Source.” (Voyagers, Volume I)

My spiritual journey eventually guided me toward texts and teachings that confirmed my intuitive beliefs. Works such as The Law of One, the writings of Edgar Cayce, The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus Christ by Levi, and the profound insights of authors like Ashayana Deane in her Voyagers series became my companions. These texts spoke clearly of universal truths accessible to all, free from institutional gatekeeping.

“All things, all of life, all of the creation is part of one original thought,” asserts The Law of One. It resonated deeply with my conviction that God—Source, Creator—is accessible through countless avenues, each uniquely suited to an individual’s soul evolution. Edgar Cayce, whom I fondly refer to as one of America’s greatest mystics, confirmed this intuitive connection: “The spirit of truth maketh alive, and through the spirit of truth the Father speaks to the sons of men.”

My path has shown me that God continues speaking, not solely through ancient prophets or scriptures frozen in time, but through ongoing revelation and personal insight. This belief finds beautiful resonance in the Bible itself: “But you, when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen” (Matthew 6:6). Here is affirmation of a direct, personal, intimate relationship with the divine, free from human-imposed barriers.

My own Past Life, Karmic Past Life, and natal planetary charts consistently point to the path of the mystic, yet they also include an important warning: that in this lifetime, it is essential for me to assert my spiritual sovereignty.

I have come to believe firmly that spiritual evolution is an individual journey, requiring personal responsibility and courage to seek beyond the known. Through meditation, prayer, and reflective study of diverse sacred texts, my soul has continued to evolve, embracing the profound simplicity of direct communion with the Creator.

“The Christos template exists within all beings… to be activated by choice and awareness.” (Voyagers, Volume I)

This blog post is an invitation and affirmation for others: your spiritual sovereignty matters. There are indeed many paths—let none tell you otherwise.
